The Happy Valley Jamboree

Every Labor Day weekend I serve as the director of the Happy Valley Jamboree (Nee Happy Valley Fiddlers Convention).  The little festival in Caldwell County by the side of the Yadkin River brings in musicians and music lovers from near and far.  The regional heritage-focused event is free to attend and features camping, jams, light-hearted competitions, workshops, a parade, and cash (and CAKE) prizes.  

In 2024 we honored local musician Christine Horton. Christine is a great performer and heir to a long legacy of old-time musicians in the valley.
